Originally founded in 2019 by Logan Robins, Linda Meian, and Zach Levin- The Unnatural Disaster Theatre Company has become one of Nova Scotia’s freshest and most groundbreaking indie theatre-makers. With a deeply rooted focus on the environment and social justice (both on and off stage)- this eclectic collective of artists strives to produce meaningful work that can entertain, educate, and make an impact within their community.

Since their inception, The Unnatural Disaster Theatre Company has actively collaborated with more than 40 local artists including playwrights, puppeteers, actors, musicians, choreographers, designers, and more! They have also worked closely to create theatre alongside outstanding organizations such as Shakespeare by the Sea, The Ecology Action Centre, and Halifax Regional Arts.

With a passion for music, puppetry, and devised creation- the company has crafted and shared five original productions since their inception and have strived with each to make a tangible positive impact! This has included raising money and awareness for charitable organisations related to the projects- such as Oxfam Canada (Support for Covid-19 relief in India), African Wildlife Foundation (for Hippo conservation), and the Bryony House (a local women’s shelter in Halifax).
