Translation is part of the Arts Across Canada and Abroad program. It funds activities related to the translation of Canadian literary works or dramatic works into French, English, an Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit or Métis) language from the land now known as Canada, American Sign Language (ASL), Quebec Sign Language (LSQ) or any other regional or Indigenous sign language for publication or presentation in Canada. In the case of sign language translation, sign language should be one of the languages of presentation.
For the translation of literary works, the Canada Council for the Arts administers the National Translation Program for Book Publishing (NTPBP) on behalf of the Department of Canadian Heritage and it acknowledges the financial support of the Government of Canada.
International Translation is part of the Arts Across Canada and Abroad program. It funds the translation of Canadian literary works or dramatic works for international presentation or publication.
Circulation and Touring is part of the Arts Across Canada and Abroad program. It funds the circulation and touring of artists, exhibitions and artistic works and activities linked to artistic exchange and networking for Canadian artists, artistic groups and arts organizations. Grants support the presentation and exhibition of performances and works by Canadian artists, which build national or international exposure.
International Residencies is part of the Arts Across Canada and Abroad program. It funds activities linked to international artistic and cultural exchanges for Canadian artists, arts workers, artistic groups and artistic organizations. Funding supports creative research and creation that include networking activities within the context of a residency abroad.

Organizational members of Theatre Nova Scotia who are incorporated not-for-profits but without charitable status of their own, can participate in our “Theatre Partnership Program”, which allows members to receive financial support for their operations and projects from donors, and TNS will issue their donors a tax receipt.
Theatre Nova Scotia will issue charitable tax receipts for donations of $20 or more.
As a registered charity, Theatre Nova Scotia (TNS) gratefully accepts donations from individuals, foundations or corporations. Such donations can support Theatre Nova Scotia and its many programs as a whole, or be earmarked for its participating Theatre Partnership members. In these cases TNS accepts charitable donations in partnership with their members participating in their TPP program.
Theatre Nova Scotia has a large lending library available to members – including scripts as well as theatre resource books, AV materials, and periodicals.

With access to two industrial copiers at the Cultural Federations of NS offices, Theatre Nova Scotia is able to offer printing services to its members at incredibly discounted rates. Members often print Posters, Show Programs, Scripts, or Flyers.
We offer matte printing (not glossy) on standard weighted printer paper (though members may bring their own cardstock). We offer two sizes of paper printing – standard 8.5×11”, or poster sized 11×17”.

Theatre Nova Scotia members are able to access a Group Benefits plan held by the Cultural Federations of NS with Manulife Insurance.

A large mesh theatre scrim is available to rent, measuring 25′ wide by 30′ tall. It is hung with metal grommets on top (rod not included).
There is currently some wear and tear in the bottom corner, but still works fine with most projectors.
The scrim is made of black mesh.
Scrim Rental fee is $100 per week / $40 per day, for TNS members.

A Dell short-throw projector, Model AZ5BQ10 is available for members to rent.
It connects through an HDMI cord and three-pronged power cord. (Both cords are included, in 3ft lengths)

Projector Rental fee is $200 per week / $50 per day, for TNS members.
