Diego Guerrero Betancourt

Memberships & Administration Manager

Diego (he/him) is a Venezuelan-born actor, filmmaker, and multidisciplinary artist based in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, with over 20 years of experience across theatre, film, and media. Trained at Estudio Corazza in Madrid and holding a degree in Mass Media & Communications from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), Diego has worked throughout Venezuela, Peru, Spain, and Mexico as an artist and creative collaborator.

Since settling in Nova Scotia, he has continued to explore performance and multimedia storytelling, with recent work including projects developed through Nocturne’s Noisemakers and collaborations for stage and screen within the local arts community. He served as Volunteer Manager with the Atlantic International Film Festival (AIFF), and he currently serves on the Boards of Eastern Front Theatre (Chair) and Page1 Theatre.

Alongside his artistic work, Diego brings strong arts administration experience and a deep appreciation for the role member-based organisations play in sustaining the sector.

He’s thrilled to join the Theatre Nova Scotia team and to support, connect, and advocate for theatre artists and companies across the province.
