Theatre NS Surveys

It’s almost the end of our Membership year and TNS is looking for your feedback!

We have two surveys open until September 15, 2026, and we’d love to hear from you. Your responses will help inform our future planning and strengthen our theatre community.

Individual responses are especially valuable, even if multiple people are responding from the same organization. Please feel free to submit your own responses, and forward this invite along to anyone who would be interested!

Survey 1: TNS Membership Feedback

Open to everyone in the Nova Scotia theatre community, Members and Non-Members.

Please help us by providing feedback on Theatre Nova Scotia’s work and identifying the priorities that matter most to our membership as we develop Theatre Nova Scotia’s next Strategic Plan.
This survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.

Bonus! Complete the survey, and you’ll be entered into a draw to win a $100 Voucher from Theatre Nova Scotia, redeemable toward theatre tickets to any Nova Scotian theatre company, valid for a year. The winner will be drawn on October 1st, 2026.

Survey 2: Professional Theatre Attendance Data

Open to all working professional theatre artists in Nova Scotia. You do not need to be a member of TNS to participate in this survey.

Theatre Nova Scotia is exploring the possibility of an alternative to our current Jury roster system for the Robert Merritt Awards. We are gathering data on what it might look like to try and shift towards a more peer-recognition model.
Your input will help us understand how feasible this new approach might be, and give us some valuable data in applying for sector funds to implement this possibility!
