Theatre Partnership Program

Organizational members of Theatre Nova Scotia who are incorporated not-for-profits without charitable status of their own, can participate in its “Theatre Partnership Program”, which allows members to receive financial support for their operations and projects from donors. TNS will then issue their donors a tax receipt.

Theatre Nova Scotia will issue charitable tax receipts for donations of $20 or more.

As a registered charity, Theatre Nova Scotia (TNS) gratefully accepts donations from individuals, foundations or corporations. Such donations can support Theatre Nova Scotia and its many programs as a whole, or be earmarked for its participating Theatre Partnership members. In these cases TNS accepts charitable donations in partnership with their members participating in their TPP program.

 

These charitable donations are to be used for operational purposes of the member organization, to achieve our organizations’ shared mission of spreading theatre throughout Nova Scotia! Donors will then receive charitable tax receipts from Theatre Nova Scotia for their donations.

 

Participating members of the TPP are required to sign a partnership agreement with Theatre Nova Scotia, acknowledge Theatre Nova Scotia as a sponsor on all promotional materials, and file an annual final report with TNS detailing how the donation funds were used by Aug 31st of each year.

Donations can be made by Cheque or E-Transfer (made out to Theatre Nova Scotia, with a memo to direct it for the participating member company), or directly online through our CanadaHelps donation platform here:
